METUS® is
a tried-and-trusted scientifically based methodology for designing
products and platforms in the early development stage. The methodology
was originally the result of a collaboration with DaimlerChrysler
AG. Since then it has been successfully implemented in more than
30 projects and is subject to continuous further development.
METUS® systematically
merges the requirements of the market, technical conceptualisation
and organisational implementation.
Special software allows complex product architectures to be transparently
visualised and structured, and alternatives to be evaluated.
The
conception stage is clearly structured by METUS®. All
the relevant departments involved in the development process – including
external partners and suppliers – are integrated and included
in the coordination process.
The strength of the METUS® process
lies in the unified methodology, which extends right through from
the product idea to the technical
